The mission of Project Clothe a Child is to enhance the lives of disadvantaged youth in underserved communities by providing them with the resources they need to surmount their circumstances and reach their highest potential.

To teach them at a young tender age how to reach out, make a difference, be a blessing, aspire to do great things, live a purposeful life, know their calling and run with it."

Our Story

Project Clothe A Child’s founder Esther Iwunze learned the true meaning of that message when she began gathering old clothes worn by her children and their friends, hoping to donate them to needy children in Africa and in other struggling regions of the world, including kids right here in America.

Inspired by her faith, Esther realized that she could do a lot to change the world, and with the help of a few friends in her hometown of Pearland, Texas, who saw the need for an honest, simple charity that can bring immediate benefits to children in need created Project Clothe A Child, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
